A New Direction
Following Rich’s death in 1997, our family made the decision to use the money and future royalties from his estate to assist in ministries that we believed Rich would have supported. At the time, we hoped that the funds might last five years. We joined together with a number of his friends and helped to start The Legacy of a Kid Brother of St. Frank. Later, Kid Brothers decided to give grants to a number of ministries that work with at-risk children. It has been a blessing to see how God has brought good to the lives of many children - those on Native American reservations, in the inner cities, and all across our country. For 2009 we have awarded grants to Hope in Transit and Nape Na Si Ministries. Now, eleven years later, six years later than we expected, the royalties have dropped to a level that we are no longer able to continue to grant funds as we have in the past. Because of this, Kid Brothers has made the difficult decision to no longer offer grants. We are grateful not only to have been able to partner with these ministries, but we are so grateful for the friendships we have gained. We pray that God will continue to supply for the needs of these ministries. Below is a list of the ministries we have been blessed to partner with over the years.
